JoAnn Kaasa and Doy Gilbert
I am JoAnn Kaasa. I am a lifelong floral designer who started Humble Beginnings on our family farm in Hanlontown, Iowa where I stayed for almost 40 years! After leaving the farm, the thing I could not leave behind was my love of creating. Now I get to do something I love with someone I love, my daughter, Doy.
I am Doy Gilbert. I taught art for Mason City Schools for over 30. Since retiring, I have been busy helping Mom get the store up and running and learning to love the art of floral design.
We are creative and resourceful folks who love creating beautiful, fun items at a sensible price.
